Carol Savage, Associate Attorney, Thurswell Law

Carol Savage joined Thurswell Law as an associate attorney in May 2023. Ms. Savage is a member of the personal injury team and litigates no-fault first-party and third-party cases, as well as lawsuits involving premise liability and dog bites.

“I understand pain and suffering and consider it a privilege to help people navigate difficult experiences with clarity and compassion,” Ms. Savage says. “I’m a warmhearted person who genuinely cares about her clients. I am a good listener and proactive.”

Ms. Savage’s resume, experience, and expertise grow each time she serves as a second chair and earns a guilty verdict, particularly in excessive force jury trials and first-degree criminal sexual conduct cases. Of note is her position as second chair alongside Thurswell Law’s Mark Boegehold in a winning high-profile case against two Detroit police officers.

Ms. Savage gained years of experience working at the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office doing bench trials and jury trials. She participated in No-Fault Institute Training and earned a book award in Civil Procedure, Mediation, and Arbitration Training.

Ms. Savage received a bachelor of arts in clinical psychology from the University of Detroit and a master of arts in intercultural management with a focus in European business. She earned her J.D. from Cooley Law School and was admitted to the Michigan State Bar in 2014, the New York Bar in 2014, and the Illinois Bar in 2015. She is also admitted to the Federal Bar Association.

She is a resident of Birmingham and hails from Metro Detroit. A person of faith, Ms. Savage loves people from all walks of life and strives for cultural understanding both personally and professionally.
